Giraffe Hat
The giraffe hat pattern is a mixture of knit and crochet. The hat is a stranded knit while the ears are crochet. The crochet portion is in chart form along with written instructions.

Baby: Cascade Yarns Cascade Heritage; 437yds/ 400m; (75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon); fingering weight:
1 skein each in 5644 Lemon, 5643 Sunflower
(Adult): Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 Quatro; 220yds/ 200m; (100% Peruvian Highland Wool); worsted weight:
1 skein in 5010 Butterscotch

Needles/Hooks
Size 3/ 3.25mm, 12”/ 30cm circular needles

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge
Knitting: 24sts/ 36rows (16sts/ 24 rows) = 4x4”/ 10x10 cm in Stockinette Stitch
Crochet: 32sts/ 32rows (20sts/ 20rows) = 4x4”/ 10x10cm in Single Crochet
Exact crochet gauge is not crucial as long as the stitches are tight.
