Robin Hoodie

Part of the Lit Knits collection.

After committing several crimes, including killing one of the king's hart, Robin Hood flees to the safety of Sherwood Forest. Soon other men join him and form Robin's band of Merry Men. They steal from the rich, give to the poor, and do it all while wearing stylish Lincoln Green clothing.

This sweater is inspired by the story The Merry Adventures Of Robin Hood, first published in 1883 by Howard Pyle. The cables resemble the trees in Sherwood Forest. Because the sweater is knit from the hood down, cables run directly from the hood down the back, front, and sleeves of the sweater.

The sweater is a top down raglan pullover. The pattern starts at the at the hood and works its way down, allowing for a seamless connection of the cables. The hood is knit flat and grafted at the end. A tutorial for grafting stockinette, reverse stockinette, and how to change between the two is included in the pattern.

The instructions are primarily charted. Each size has charts that show how to incorporate the pattern into the shaping.

Errata for the Robin Hoodie can be found on the Errata page.
